About Wave Digital

One app for the money
you hold in two worlds.

Most people now keep value in two places at once — a bank account and a wallet — and moving between them is slow, expensive and full of steps that make no sense to anyone who is not already an expert. Wave Digital exists to close that gap.

What we do

Crypto that spends
like ordinary money.

Hold

Live

Wallets across more than 30 blockchains, with assets held by BitGo rather than on the platform itself, so your holdings do not depend on us staying online.

Convert

Live

On-ramp with the cards and local payment methods you already use. Off-ramp back to fiat whenever you want, so you are never locked into a token.

Spend

Live

A payment card accepted across 170+ countries, without converting to fiat first — the step that makes crypto impractical for everyday use.

Bank-style accounts

Coming soon

USD and EUR multi-currency accounts with SEPA and SWIFT rails, operated by our regulated payment partner. Join the waitlist to hear when they open in your country.

Who operates Wave Digital

Three companies,
one service.

Financial services are rarely delivered by a single entity, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. This is exactly who does what, and it matches our Terms of Use word for word.

How we work

What we will and
will not claim.

We are not a bank

Wave Digital and its payment service providers are not banks or credit institutions. No interest is paid on funds held through the Services, and those funds are not bank deposits covered by any deposit guarantee scheme. We say this on the homepage, not only in the terms.

Your assets sit with a custodian

Digital assets are held with BitGo rather than on our own balance sheet. Fiat balances are handled by licensed payment providers, not by us.

We check who our customers are

Identity verification and sanctions screening run on every account through SumSub, and we refuse or suspend service where the law requires it. It slows sign-up down. That is the point.

Crypto carries risk

Prices move, transactions cannot be reversed, and a total loss is possible. Read the Risk Warning before you transact — it is short and it is not boilerplate.
